This post will wrap up my series on my epic summer vacation.
After Disneyland we stayed in L.A. one more day to see the Cubs (one of the teams we root for) play the Dodgers. We moved hotels because 1) Disney is very far away from Dodger stadium, not necessarily by distance but by time needed to travel this distance in LA traffic, and 2) Disney is expensive.
Because I spent a lot of time researching the best hotel to stay at to attend a baseball game at Dodger Stadium, I thought I’d share our experience.
We stayed at the Millennium Biltmore at 506 N. Grand.
Not only is this hotel beautiful and historic as the website photos will show you but it is also super convenient to Dodger Stadium. It is also affordable and has a pool. And a really good Asian-fusion restaurant. It’s funny I pulled this restaurant up from TripAdvisor reviews and then (when we got there by walking around the block instead of through the connecting door) realized it was actually attached to the hotel: Bugis Street Brasserie. We talked to some other people at this restaurant (who saw our Cubs gear) and they said they always stay at this hotel to hit everything else they like to do in the greater LA area.
We used Lyft/Uber to get to and from the stadium. It cost about $11 each way.
After the game we went to the designated Uber area to wait for our ride and although this was initially overwhelming because there were SO MANY people, it ended up being OK because we found other Cubs fans to talk to (as you do everywhere).
We had an AMAZING time at this baseball game. I splurged on good seats and there were so many Cubs fans AND because we got a WIN I got to break out our W flag I had carried all the way down the West Coast for the past two weeks.
What an amazing end to an amazing vacation!!! Stay tuned to see where we’re headed this Fall!!!!
